The Samsung is very powerful, in fact, it has twice the speed of the iPad and is clearly the choice for the technologically savvy crowd. Its speed comes from its one gigabyte of ram. It also has a better display resolution of 1280 by 800 versus the iPad having 1024 by 768. The Galaxy uses the Android 3.1 operating system, so those who like to play around with the latest OS are going to be happy with the Galaxy. The Wifi version is about the same price as the iPad so there is no advantage in price. However, in the area of applications, the iPad stands tall above the Galaxy. For most people who do not consider a tablet to be a hobby, the iPad is better just for the amount of software.
